YI SUMMITS
NATIONAL SUMMITS
The Yi summits are the flagship events of Young Indians. It is a forum for the members of all chapters to converge on a common platform to discuss and deliberate on issues and topics relevant to nation building. An event that is held every year, the first summit was organized in the year 2004 and one each in the years that followed. The theme of the summit is chosen to reflect the role of Young Indians in contributing to the nation’s development and enhancing it. The national summits have so far attracted around 350 eminent personalities as speakers and around 2000 participants from across the country. The Summits have separate sessions on topics linking to the theme of the summit and brief interactions with the speakers. Yi has organised 4 National Summits till date, one each at New Delhi in 2004, Banglore in 2005, Mumbai in 2007 and Chennai in 2008. More details...
REGIONAL SUMMITS
Apart from the National Summits, Yi organizes regional summits on a major scale as that of the national summits. The theme of the regional summit is based on the region’s nature and it attracts case studies and speakers from that particular region. By doing regional summits, Yi ensures co-ordination of members of the chapters falling under the region to contribute collectively to nation building. The regional summits, in all have hosted around 100 speakers and attracted participation of around 700 members, from the Northern, Eastern and Southern Parts of the country, through the Regional Summits at New Delhi, Coimbatore and Kolkata in 2006.
